5. Victor Oladipo

Luckily for the Orlando Magic, Victor Oladipo was NOT one of the promising young players shipped away at the deadline, which is great news since he’s quietly been having a more improved 2016 — even as he continues to fluctuate between the bench and the starting lineup.

In the new calendar year, Oladipo is averaging a well-rounded 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, but the kicker has been his improved shooting, with the third-year guard converting 44.4 percent of his looks from the floor, 39.5 percent of his three-pointers and 84.5 percent of his free throws in that span.

Oladipo is only averaging 14.7 points per game on .413/.336/.825 shooting splits on the season after an incredibly bumpy start, but even with Skiles struggling to find the right fit for him in the rotation, there’s no question that the skill set and the potential is still there.
