9. Bobby Portis, Chicago Bulls

The best part about watching Bobby Portis as he gets more minutes isn’t his developing skill set; it’s the energy he brings to the power forward position.

Portis plays like a bulldog out there going for loose balls and rebounds and running the floor to get a step on offense or get back and make a key play on defense.

He’s not the best defensive player yet nor is he a rim protector (0.4 blocks in 17.5 minutes per game) but he tries and puts forth his best effort each time he’s in the game.

Having someone who’s willing to put his body on the line at such a young age is valuable to a team like the Bulls who have thrived on toughness for years. Portis is a perfect fit for them moving forward, especially if he consistently knocks down three-point shots over the years.
