Let Rodney Hood Takeover

Where Gordon Hayward lacks in aggression when it comes to scoring the basketball, his teammate shooting guard Rodney Hood makes up for it. The super sophomore Hood this season continues to give Utah the scoring punch they need to win.

Hood has taken a huge leap in his second season, almost doubling his points per game from 8.7 to 15 a night. Furthermore, Hood has been on a tear in his last 10 games as he’s scored 18.4 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor. If Hood can maintain this pace and even play a little bit better in the last stretch of the season, Utah should be able to find a way to get in because their offense won’t be the reason they miss the playoffs with Hood playing at this consistently great level.

As we’ve seen throughout the season when the possession is running late in the shot clock, just give the basketball to Hood and let him go to work.
