Let Gordon Hayward Facilitate

The Utah Jazz haven’t been able to find a true starting point for their team but it hasn’t hindered their success this season one bit.

Instead of looking for a point guard who may or may not ever arrive to take over and create shot opportunities for others, Utah’s wisely been playing through the strength of their best player, Gordon Hayward. A lot of people get upset at Hayward because he’s not aggressive enough when it comes to looking for his own shot, but one of the major strengths in his game is his ability to get others involved.

Against the Houston Rockets, Hayward scored 28 points and only needed seven shots to do it. Additionally, Hayward’s five assists led the team overall. It might be a bit sad but it’s true. Hayward is more of a point forward for Utah and they will need him to continue to play that way for the rest of the season.
