John Wall doesn’t deserve to slide out of the Top 10, but a number of players have caught fire at the wrong time for the Washington Wizards’ floor general. Thus, he ends up at No. 13 in this week’s edition of the NBA Player Power Rankings.

Don’t let that fool you into thinking Wall has been anything less than an All-NBA player in 2015-16.

Wall is the reason Washington is 26-30 and not entirely removed from the postseason picture. The Wizards are still just 3.0 games back of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, which is an entirely realistic deficit to make up with 26 games remaining on the schedule.

Washington will need more than just Wall to reach the playoffs, but he’s done everything in his power to make the Wizards contenders again.

Washington has already played five games since the All-Star Break, including three in as many days. Wall’s performances included 17 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and four steals against the Utah Jazz; 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists against the Detroit Pistons; and a triple-double against the New Orleans Pelicans.

What more can you realistically ask of the three-time All-Star?
