2.) Jordan Crawford

Jordan Crawford.

Celtics fans are likely split on Crawford, and understandably so.

On one hand, Crawford is a notorious gunner whose quick trigger finger has been known to be cancerous in years past. Presumably, this would make him an awful fit for the 2015-16 Celtics, whose philosophy is grounded in trust and team play.

On the other hand, Crawford, in his last stint with Boston, looked absolutely stellar, and easily played the best basketball of his career.

For those of you who don’t recall:

Crawford’s strong play at the point guard position helped him earn Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors in December 2013. He didn’t keep his production at the same level, but Crawford averaged a career high 5.7 assists to go along with his 13.7 points per game in 39 appearances with the 2013-14 Cs.

He was eventually traded to Golden State, along with MarShon Brooks, in a three-team deal that netted Boston Joel Anthony and what will now be three second-rounders.

Crawford, despite immaturity and questionable shot selection, is a very capable scorer and easily an NBA-quality guard. In January, Crawford scored a whopping 72 points in a game with his Chinese team, the Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions.

Per HoopsRumors, the Miami Heat are reportedly interested in Crawford, but would wait until March 7 to sign any potential free agents, as to avoid crossing into the luxury tax threshold. If the Celtics do want to bring Crawford back, under a tight leash of course (would you expect anything else from Stevens?), it would likely have to be done before that date.
