20 Minutes Or Less: NBA All-Stars
By Josh Eberley
John Henson 16.7 MPG
I don’t think the Milwaukee Bucks know what they have in John Henson. Players in the league with a block percent greater than 9? Hassan Whiteside (10.7) and John Henson (10.1). Henson doesn’t bring a ton offensively but he does finish at the rim and he doesn’t take a lot of shots. The Bucks have one of the league’s best shot blockers wasting away on their bench.
Henson signed a four-year $44 million extension with the Bucks last offseason, I’d assume at some point they plan on using him — as 11 million a year is a lot of money for a guy playing under 17 minutes.

While Henson doesn’t have the same midrange game as Serge Ibaka, the career per-36 projections put them in the same neighborhood for all around impact. While the Bucks haven’t found much success yet this season, Henson is a solid option for them in the frontcourt going forward. Look for his minutes to expand as the Bucks realize what kind of a gem they are sitting on.
