2012 The Golden State Warriors
Well looky here, the Warriors weren’t always a gushing fountain of deserved wonderfulness. The Warriors current dynasty in the making needs a starting point and while you could point to the drafting of young Stephen Curry, many believe the Andrew Bogut trade really got them rolling.
The Deal
The Golden State Warriors made a decision to roll with Curry and parted with Monta Ellis, Kwame Brown, and Ekpe Udoh. The Milwaukee Bucks sent the defensive stopper but oft injured Bogut back with a familiar face in Stephen Jackson.
It wasn’t just the acquisition of Bogut, but the decision that Chef Curry and not Ellis would be the team’s floor general for the foreseeable future. Safe to say this one panned out nicely for the Warriors. It seems like a no-brainer but remember in 2012 Curry had ankle injuries and Ellis had a strong following.
my thoughts on the Ellis for Bogut trade. Dumb, im not a huge Ellis fan but GS is 3 games outta 8th. You just traded away your best scorer.
