2013 The Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic were living in the post Dwight Howard apocalypse, wins were tough to come by, and things needed to change. Fan favourite J.J. Redick found himself on the outs and the Magic looked to the future.

The Deal

The Orlando Magic sent Redick, Gustavo Ayon, and modern day explorer Ish Smith to the Milwaukee Bucks for Doron Lamb and Tobias Harris.

In the present the Magic have allegedly made Harris available, but the trade marked a turning point for the franchise. The Bucks dealt Redick the following season and the Duke alumni has made his home with the Clippers.

The Magic are in a position of wealth, while they may not yet be contenders their ranks are chalk full of potential. Will have to wait and see but will Harris be mentioned in this article next year?
