1999 The New Jersey Nets

The 1999 deadline saw Glen Rice head to Los Angeles, where he helped the Lakers win the first championship of the Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal era. However, even bigger than the Rice trade was the point guard swapping bonanza between New Jersey, Minnesota, and Milwaukee.

The Deal

The Nets acquired Stephon Marbury, Chris Carr, Bill Curley, and Elliot Perry. The Bucks acquired Sam Cassell, Paul Grant, and Chris Gatling. Finally, the Minnesota Timberwolves acquired Terrell Brandon, Brian Evans, and a first-round pick that became Wally Szczerbiak.
