Minnesota Timberwolves
Why the Minnesota Timberwolves are discussing Ricky Rubio trades is beyond me. He’s only 25 years old, the team is significantly better with him on the floor, he’s signed on through the 2018-19 season to a manageable salary and for the millionth time, Zach LaVine IS NOT A POINT GUARD.
But that didn’t stop the Wolves from talking about Khris Middleton with the Bucks, which Milwaukee predictably shot down.
Multiple people tell me Bucks made several runs at Rubio. Each time Milt Newton asked for Khris Middleton. No deal.

Add that to their inability to move Kevin Martin somewhere and it was something of a disappointing trade deadline for the Wolves. This is was one team that didn’t need to make a move though, so the only points we can take off here is for giving into the league-wide conviction that Rubio’s lack of a jumper overshadows his superb passing and excellent defense.
