Could Markieff Morris Be A Raptor?

It’s pretty remarkable that we have gotten to February and the Markieff Morris saga still continues.

Morris’ recent antics have created yet another wrinkle in the ongoing epic, but he’s also shown that he’s still able to play at the high level that he grew to only a few years ago.

Coincidentally, Morris’ definitive game of the year happened to come against the Raptors when the team traveled down to Phoenix as part of a five-game road trip.  Morris’ impressive outing against the Raptors only fueled more rumors that he could wind up being on the team just weeks later.

However, the Suns reported asking price for Morris, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, is much higher than what teams expected, considering all the issues that have occurred between him and the team over the last eight months.

That development has presumably had an effect on Toronto as they are reported to be out of the running for Morris, according to Wojnarowski:

For a team that wants to keep their chemistry intact, it’s a good decision by the Raptors to avoid a player like Morris who has repeatedly shown to be a nuisance in the locker room.
