Could P.J. Tucker Be A Raptor?

One of two Suns players connected to the Raptors, rumors that the Raptors had interest in P.J. Tucker were reported by Marc Stein of ESPN.com earlier this month via his twitter account:

The Suns are one of the clear-cut sellers this trade season, but there are rumors that their asking price is much higher than other teams expected.  That could make any possible deal for Tucker unlikely.

As far as fit goes, however, Tucker would be a nice stopgap player the Raptors could acquire, especially due to the injury situation with DeMarre Carroll.

His contract is also very team-friendly as well and he would be a nice player to have as the Raptors continue to experiment with their own version of small ball.

Yet for a team that could really use a possible third scoring option, Tucker is far from that type of player and as a career 36 percent three-point shooter, he’s likely not the best option for a team that’s looking to increase their floor spacing.
