Miami Heat: Justise Winslow

The Miami Heat have a number of options for the, “Untouchable,” tag. The trio of Dwyane Wade, Hassan Whiteside, and Justise Winslow all have immense value to the future of the organization, and all fall under the umbrella of players who shouldn’t be touched.

The question is, which of those three players can be separated as the truly untouchable trade asset?

Wade is the easy answer due to the fact that he’s a 34-year-old shooting guard with a history of knee injuries. His not being the selection is not suggesting that he should be traded, but instead acknowledging that he’s not the untouchable.

Whiteside is the most dominant shot-blocker in the NBA, but his pending unrestricted free agency is something that damages his, “Untouchable,” status.

The truly untouchable player on the roster is Winslow, whom Pat Riley drafted to be a future face of the franchise. He slipped to Miami at No. 10, is already displaying signs of a potential All-Defensive Team honoree, and shows flashes of being a versatile playmaker offensively.

The numbers will say whatever it is that they say, but Winslow is a long-term investment for an organization that has the veterans in the locker room to groom him into a future star.
