Indiana Pacers: Paul George

The Indiana Pacers are in the midst of a massive transformation. Having spent the duration of Frank Vogel’s as a defensive-minded team, Indiana has shifted from relying on a balanced interior to packing its perimeter with shooters and slashers.

Myles Turner should be kept around for the long-term, but it’s Paul George who’s Indiana’s most untouchable asset.

George has been erratic in 2015-16, but there’s no rational way around how great of a player he is. At his worst, he’s still a Top 15 player as an explosive scorer who can shoot with deep 3-point range, explode for finishes above the rim, and play lockdown defense.

Season averages of 23.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.8 3-point field goals made per game exemplify his greatness.

George is a positionally versatile forward who can take over games, as evidenced by his 41-point eruption during the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. He’s already a three-time All-Star, a two-time All-NBA Third Team selection, and a two-time All-Defensive Team honoree.

Having accomplished all of this at 25 years old, it’s safe to say that the best has yet to come for Indiana’s resident superstar.
