10. New Orleans Pelicans

Other than Anthony Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans don’t have a single player on the roster that should be considered untouchable or intrinsic to the future title contender this front office is trying to assemble.

With Ryan Anderson hitting free agency this summer, dealing a stretch-4 of his caliber is a good way to cash in on his value now, unless the Pellies are prepared to fully cash in on Anderson this summer by re-signing him in free agency.

The Hawks would once again have to worry about re-signing a member of their frontcourt this offseason, but Anderson’s max deal would be nowhere near as gaudy as Horford’s. Alexis Ajinca might be a tad superfluous in a frontcourt including Paul Millsap, Anderson and Tiago Splitter, but with Splitter moving into the starting lineup to replace Horford, Ajinca would be a viable backup on a fair deal.

The Pelicans would have to commit a ton of money to Horford over the summer to convince him to re-sign as a free agent, but in doing so, they’d cement their frontcourt of the future to build around. Horford may be 29, but he’d be an experienced, veteran addition who could help supervise the Brow’s development into a destroyer of all worlds.

However, the Pelicans may remain stubborn in standing still at the trade deadline — even with Tyreke Evans‘ knee injury that should have them fully committed to a tanking strategy — and the Hawks would be hoping for better offers than this, even with a future first round pick thrown in.
