Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have been hit by a rush of season-altering injuries—again. Eric Bledsoe is out for the year with a torn meniscus, T.J. Warren joined him with a broken foot, and a number of other players have missed significant time with ailments of their own.

One simply cannot deny how much Phoenix has to offer in a trade package.

The Suns are 14-40, which gives them the fourth-best odds of landing the No. 1 overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. That asset, unto itself, could intrigue a team due to the prolific nature of prospects such as LSU Tigers star Ben Simmons and Duke Blue Devils wing Brandon Ingram.

It doesn’t hurt that Phoenix’s roster is overrun by young and promising players who have significant trade value.

Veteran power forward Mirza Teletovic‘s ability to space the floor, as well as his expiring $5,500,000 contract, would be an inevitable starting point. Markieff Morris has been coveted by general managers across the NBA, as well, and young players such as Devin Booker, Archie Goodwin, and Alex Len are certain to be on the radar.

Parting ways with either Bledsoe or Brandon Knight would be necessary, but if it meant bringing a superstar to Phoenix, it’d be worth the gamble.
