Rebounding: A

One of the biggest strengths of this team is the ability to rebound on both ends of the floor. Every player on the court crashes the glass, evidenced by the fact that there are five players averaging over six rebounds per game.

The Thunder rank second in offensive rebounding at 12.8 per game, trailing only the Detroit Pistons. These opportunities provide 15.3 second chance points per game, which can be a real difference maker in a close game.

Despite only playing 20 minutes a night, Enes Kanter is tied with Dwight Howard for seventh place in offensive rebounding. Creating second chance opportunities provides points in the rare occasions the offense begins to sputter.

Westbrook leads all guards in offensive, defensive and total rebounding. His energy creates opportunities for his team to score even when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands.

A defensive possession does not end until the defense gets the ball back, and the Thunder are one of the best teams in the league at chasing down rebounds. OKC leads the NBA in rebound percentage, which indicates that they are retrieving the highest amount of rebounds whenever they take the floor.
