With All-Star Weekend behind us, is there any other young prospect in the NBA that can actually challenge Karl-Anthony Towns for Rookie of the Year?

With the All-Star Weekend now behind us it’s time to get prepped for the second half of the NBA regular season!

As you probably know by now, we take a look at the rookies here every week and put them under a number of microscopes, some broad and others very specific.

Karl-Anthony Towns has put himself in the front of the NBA Rookie of the Year race and certainly helped his candidacy over the weekend by beating Isaiah Thomas in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

The question now becomes is there anyone out there who can properly challenge Towns for the award or does he already have it locked up?

Let’s get into it.
