Ti’s Four-Point Play: The Four Biggest NBA All Star Snubs
By Ti Windisch
Damian Lillard
After being an NBA All-Star for the last two seasons, Damian Lillard missed out this season. The reason? Kobe Bryant is playing this year, so the spot he took up the last two years was unavailable this season.
That’s just wrong. It’s great that Kobe is getting to have one last All-Star Game, but he doesn’t deserve a nod over Dame. The numbers don’t lie, and in this case they scream that the voters made a mistake.
Player | GS | MP | FGA | FG% | 3PA | 3P% | eFG% | FTA | FT% | TRB | AST | STL | BLK | TOV | PF | PTS |

Damian Lillard | 47 | 36.1 | 19.7 | .418 | 8.1 | .363 | .492 | 5.7 | .861 | 4.4 | 7.3 | 1.0 | 0.3 | 3.3 | 2.4 | 24.3 |

Lillard gets the advantage literally everywhere, aside from turnovers and personal fouls committed. But in terms of points per game, assists per game, rebounds per game, and scoring efficiency from every area, Damian Lillard is the better player this season.
The other three players on this list aren’t clearly better than anyone starting at their position like Lillard is here. That combined with his All-Star experience means he’s unquestionably the biggest snub this season. Next year when Kobe is retired, expect Dame to reclaim his rightful spot as an NBA All Star.
