Blake Griffin/Thor

The Asgardian god of thunder with all his brute strength, good looks and other worldly athletic ability. He holds his mighty hammer Mjolnir and smashes his opponents. These attributes could be the answer to the type of player Blake Griffin is. It would probably make sense that he is from a mythical world because you don’t see many people who look like him that can wreak havoc on the basketball court.

The numerous dunks he has had in his career are enough to make a dunk contest against himself. His dunks are so ferocious that it is like he’s “throwing down the hammer” on his opponents. His speed and endurance are also unmatched as he is able to snatch alley-oops from Chris Paul.

Not only are these two similar in stature and physical abilities, they are also perceived to have weaknesses that trump all their physicality. For Thor it was his love for his family and friends; his enemies have used his love for them to his full advantage in battle and almost succeeded in defeating him.

For Griffin, he may be dominating on the court on offense, but there are times when he has been questioned for his toughness. He tends to get bullied a lot by players such as Zach Randolph and DeMarcus Cousins. He has also been questioned for his mental toughness. He tends to let things get to him, like what people say about him.

As long both of them can conquer those idiosyncrasies, they will always be successful at overcoming their opponents on the court and in battle.
