NBA Trade Rumors: Trade Priorities For All 30 Teams
San Antonio Spurs
Moving from instability to the most stable organization, don’t expect a move to be made by the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs typically lay low at the trade deadline, and it should be no different as next Thursday approaches. Thanks to the ageless wonders of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, the Spurs don’t need to make a move.

The Spurs’ big three has done so well together since they have all bought in to Gregg Popovich’s system. Adding Kawhi Leonard to the mix is what makes the Spurs a legitimate championship threat.
If there is any concern going forward, it’s because of the 120-90 loss to the defending champion Warriors earlier this season. Popovich admitted to having pre-game jitters before the meeting, but closed the night with a rather calming press conference where he joked about how he might have been fired if the general manager had been there.
As the Spurs have proven time and again, this team is resilient and they don’t get hung up on one game. The Spurs still have three more shots at the Warriors, and all come in late March or early April before the playoffs start.
If the Spurs make any move, it will likely be to add depth to the frontcourt. With Duncan’s injuries, the Spurs have had to rely on David West, Boris Diaw and breakout center Boban Marjanovic a little more than they would probably like. But adding another player to the frontcourt could provide even more stability to a model franchise.
