Wesley Johnson

At age 28, the former lottery pick has started to look like the poor man’s version of the 3-and-D wing he was supposed to be.

Johnson has been a steal for the Clippers on a minimum deal that has a player option for next season that will almost definitely be declined so that Johnson can sign for more money.

Johnson is averaging 12.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per 36 minutes and shooting 45 percent on corner three-pointers per NBA.com, a staple of Doc Rivers’ offense. His defense and hustle have ignited the Clippers at times and he brings some much-needed toughness to the Clippers wings.

Johnson’s contract is the only thing detrimental to his trade value, as he’s little more than a rental at the deadline before he hits free agency.
