Blake Griffin

The Clipper with the highest trade value is the player who seems to be the hottest name during trade rumor season.

Yes, Blake Griffin has been injured since Christmas. Yes, he’ll miss at least another month.

Still, there aren’t many 26-year old power forwards slapping up 23.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per night like Griffin did before injuries sent him to the sidelines.

Griffin has been mentioned in various trade rumors since he last played since the Clippers have been so successful without him, going 18-5.

As hot as the trade rumors have been, it would still be pretty shocking if Griffin was actually moved at the deadline. It’s hard to put together a package for arguably the best power forward in the NBA.

You can make an argument for Chris Paul, but Griffin’s age gives him the edge. If both hit free agency, they’d both get max deals, but you’d feel better paying for the next 4-5 seasons of Griffin over paying for the same time for Paul.
