The 2016 NBA All-Star break has begun and you know what that means: the trade deadline is on the way.

The trade deadline will be key for the Los Angeles Clippers and they’ve been at the center of trade rumors regarding some pretty big names. The Clippers are clearly a tier below the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference and will need to make a move if they hope to compete with those teams.

Over the next week, we’ll hear plenty of rumors about big names being on the move. All of these moves are predicated based upon trade value. In order to acquire something valuable, the Clippers will have to give up something that is of similar value to the team they’re trading with.

Assessing a player’s trade value is difficult because it’s placing value on quite a few different aspects of a player. Trade value is a combination of the following things:

  • Talent
  • Age
  • Contract size and length
  • Personality (hey there, Markieff Morris)

Here are the following Clippers ranked by trade value (in reverse order).
