The NBA trade deadline is the one time of the season in which fans all over pray for chaos.

Nothing can change the NBA landscape like a blockbuster trade. Last year’s deadline, the medium for the famed point guard swap of 2015, set the stage for the success of the Boston Celtics — who acquired now-All-Star Isaiah Thomas — and started the descent of both the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.

This year, we’ve heard a flurry of rumors, perhaps more than in any season in recent memory. Blake Griffin, DeMarcus Cousins, Al Horford, Derrick Rose and countless others have all had their respective names float around the rumor mill.

Some of these trade talks have had more traction than others, of course, but given the league-wide balance this year (save for four or five teams), the league is primed for major — and likely unexpected — changes.

The time leading up to the deadline is mostly speculative, as front offices tend to work the media to business advantages, but there are some names that we can rule out right away. On the other side of that, there are some guys that are near locks to be dealt.

To save you the trouble of sifting through the heap of rumors, HoopsHabit has assembled your full guide to the impending NBA  trade deadline; here is the “buy or sell” verdict for 10 of the biggest names in the trade sphere right now.
