1. Gasol To Replace Butler In All-Star Game

As a result of another solid season, Butler was named as a All-Star reserve for the second consecutive season. But in light of his recent injury, Butler will not be able to participate.

Ironically, Pau Gasol, who was originally snubbed, will take Butler’s spot on the Eastern Conference roster.

Although the Bulls have been painful to watch at times, Gasol has proven to be one of the few bright spots. On the season, he is averaging 17.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocks per contest. This includes per game averages of 17.7 points and 11.1 rebounds since the beginning of January.

This will mark his sixth appearance in the NBA’s midseason classic, and based on his production, it is safe to say that Gasol should have been included on the All-Star roster in the first place.
