NCAA: Lou Henson National Player Of The Year Award Power Rankings

4. Dallas Moore, North Florida Ospreys, Atlantic Sun Conference
Though North Florida has lost its last two games and is now tied for the lead in the Atlantic Sun with Jacksonville, Dallas Moore has been as advertised this season.
Through Feb. 9, Moore leads the conference in scoring (19.7 points per game), assists (5.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (3.4). He’s helped the Ospreys own the top offense (84.7 points per game), the top team field goal percentage (48.2) percent), the top three-point shooting percentage (41.6) and the top scoring margin (+ 6.8) in the conference.
Moore’s a versatile point guard, one that can get hot at any time. When he’s cold, like UNF’s last game against Florida Gulf Coast, the Ospreys struggle. In that loss, Moore was just 2-of-10 overall and 1-of-6 from three, leading to the 16-point road loss. His impact is greatly important to North Florida’s postseason aspirations.
Should they get to the NCAA tournament, North Florida will likely wind up as a No. 15 or No. 16 seed, which doesn’t give the Ospreys a lot of room for error. However, having a shooter/scorer like Moore can go a long way in making history. Keep that in mind.
