2. Jameel Warney, Stony Brook Seawolves, America East

Perhaps the most consistently dominant player, from a major conference or mid-major conference, over the past three years has been Stony Brook’s Jameel Warney.

Warney, already a two-time America East Player of the Year winner, is well on his way to another crown, leading the league-leading Seawolves to a 20-4 overall record and a perfect 11-0 record through Feb. 9 in conference play.

Continuing his dominant play, Warney is averaging 19.0 points (48th nationally), 10.7 rebounds (13th in the nation) and 3.0 blocks (fifth). He does all of this while being a 6-foot-8 center, an average size for a mid-major big man, but smaller when looking at the national landscape.

The Seawolves currently own the nation’s longest active winning streak (16-straight) and are looking to get to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. Should they do that, Warney will be a name to watch in one those games.
