Andre Drummond is shooting an unforgivable 35.1 percent from the free throw line in 2015-16. He’d been ranked in the Top 10 for most of the season, but as those woes began to catch up to the Detroit Pistons as a team, his ranking suffered.

Drummond’s up from 29.2 percent in January to 40.0 percent in February, and while neither mark is ideal, it’s a promising sign that he’s working on his primary weakness.

Drummond’s numbers are too tremendous to overlook, which is why he easily maintains a Top 20 ranking. He’s compiled 45 double-doubles in 2015-16, and only Russell Westbrook with 35 even comes close.

Drummond is on pace to finish the season with 68 double-doubles, which would be the most by any player since Dwight Howard had 69 in 2007-08.

Drummond’s statistics, as well as Detroit’s 27-27 record, are clear justifications of his ranking. After winning just 32 games in 2014-15, Drummond has the Pistons positioned to shatter that win total just one season later.

It’s bigger than basic numbers, but when they’re as prolific as Drummond’s, it’s easy to include a player in the Top 20.
