John Wall doesn’t want to stop going off against teams with supposedly superior players. After dropping 41 points and 10 assists against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, he continued his string of brilliance over the course of this most recent week.

After starting things off with a triple-double, Wall proceeded to prove what’s often been overlooked: there aren’t many players better than he.

Wall posted a quiet 18 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and one block on 7-of-13 shooting in a 106-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. He then tallied 23 points, 10 assists, six boards, and two steals on 7-of-17 shooting during a loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

With Washington in need of a win, Wall dominated the New York Knicks for 28 points and 17 assists—numbers that would help anyone get noticed in the player power rankings.

For the season, Wall is just shy of averaging 20 points and 10 assists—marks he can realistically attain. It’d be his second consecutive season above 10.0 assists per game, which makes Wall’s consistent underrating all the more confusing.

Wall has played at a Top 10 level in 2015-16, and the fact that an injury-ravaged Wizards team is still fighting for a postseason berth is evidence enough.
