The Los Angeles Clippers are recording wins at a genuinely elite level without All-NBA power forward Blake Griffin. The driving force behind that record has been point guard Chris Paul, who has returned to his superstar-caliber level of play.

With three wins in four games over the course of the most recent week, Paul’s influence in Los Angeles continues to be positive.

Paul’s best game of the week came in a loss, but it’s one that’s purely impossible to ignore. He ripped off 35 points, 13 assists, five rebounds, and three steals in a duel for the ages with fellow All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics.

It was a solid reminder of what Paul is capable of doing when he’s on his game.

For the season, Paul is one of three players averaging at least 19.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 2.0 steals. The other two, John Wall and Russell Westbrook, are two of the Top 10 players in the Player Power Rankings.

If Paul continues along his current path, both statistically and in helping his team win games, he’ll join Wall and Westbrook in the Top 10.
