Best Bargains

Marco Belinelli ($4,500) scored 33.8 fantasy points against the 76ers in their first meeting this season. He is mainly a scorer, but could also add rebounding value against the fifth-worst team in rebounding. Scoring is the focus of his game, though, and the 76ers are 21st in opponents field goal percentage and 16th in opponents three-point percentage. He is projected to score 23.8 fantasy points.

David West ($4,300) only scored 10.3 fantasy points in his first game against the Magic this season. In his last four games he is scoring 20.8 FPPG. The Magic have been the definition of league average in opponents field goal percentage (16th) and rebounding percentage (15th). If West play 20-plus minutes, he should be able to hit and exceed value. He’s projected to score 22.2 fantasy points.

Players To Sit

Rudy Gay ($6,800) only scored 21.8 fantasy points against the 76ers in their first meeting. It wasn’t a lack of rebounding that caused Gay to perform poorly. He only scored nine points in their first meeting, despite the 76ers ranking 21st in opponents field goal percentage. On Monday, Gay returned to the starting lineup, but only turned in a 27.8 fantasy point performance. He’s projected to score 28.1 fantasy points on Wednesday, which is 4.4 FPPG less than his season average.

Andre Drummond ($8,000) only scored 17 fantasy points in his first meeting against the Nuggets. Kenneth Faried did not play in that game, but the talented trio of young big men forced Drummond into foul trouble early and kept him on the bench. Drummond only played 18 minutes in that game. He has struggled in his last four games, scoring 35.1 FPPG. While Drummond is projected to score 42.1 fantasy points, it all depends on if he can stay out of foul trouble.

Wednesday’s NBA slate should be an exciting one. With plenty of options and the projections used from Swish Analytics, drafting a team that will score should be easier than expected. But there are no guarantees since the game isn’t played on paper. So let’s all enjoy the last full slate of hoops before the All-Star break.
