16. Chicago Bulls: Clint Capela, Switzerland

Original selection: 25th by the Houston Rockets

2015-16 statistics: 7.4 PPG 6.8 RPG 1.3 BPG 17.33 PER

Clint Capela was unknown to the majority of NBA fans coming into the draft, but just by looking at his length, there was hope that he could find his way. He didn’t start getting in-game experience until later on in the season while also spending time in the D-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Once Donatas Montiejunas suffered an injury, it opened up a lot of time and opportunity for Capela to take advantage of, and in the postseason he was able to contribute 3.4 points in 7.5 minutes per game.

He is now the starting power forward for the Rockets and is still working on filling his full potential. Capela has totaled nine double-doubles on the season thus far including a career-high 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over the Knicks.

Chicago is pretty set with frontcourt depth, but having the youth and potential of Capela would help any team. Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah are all on the back-end of their careers, so Capela would join Bobby Portis as the future of the frontcourt in the windy city.
