3. Jahlil Okafor, Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers would probably like to erase some of the memories from the start of Okafor’s career.

With that being said he’s done a lot of the same up to this point, which is put points on the board in bunches. Okafor still leads all rookies in scoring at 17 points per game on a decent 49.3 percent shooting from the field.

What he’s done over his last 10 games should serve as a sign of things to come as he’s shot 57.7 percent from the floor which is closer to his effectiveness in college and high school.

Okafor knows how to score in the post and be a physical presence down low, but he’s been a disappointment in terms of rebounding and playing defense and has at times looked like Brook Lopez is his ceiling.

He needs to show us that he’s capable of being more than a one-trick pony in a basketball game. I think he has a few good games ahead of him, especially considering his impressive 22 points and 17 rebounds against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. Okafor has a lot of room to grow but I don’t believe his potential is capped quite yet.
