There is a limited upside when it comes to P.J. Tucker

When it comes to Tucker, the downside isn’t as dramatic as Morris. We know that he’s a hard-working player that isn’t going to be expecting as large of a workload as Morris. But at 30 years old, one has to consider whether or not they want to give up a decent first-round pick for a player who isn’t going to make a huge impact.

Especially a team like Toronto that may be looking to bring in some young talent behind their more established and veteran core.

Tucker has one year left on his contract after this year at $5.3 million, a very fair price for his services. But there isn’t any way that he would be starting on Toronto unless there were a significant amount of injuries and probably doesn’t move the needle much when it comes to contending. He isn’t a sharpshooter and doesn’t have a tremendous amount of length.

He’s definitely an asset, but whether it’s worth a decent first-round pick is something the Toronto Raptors will need to decide.
