NBA Trade Rumors: Toronto Raptors Interested In Markieff Morris, P.J. Tucker

Morris is a difference maker when motivated
The main takeaway from Tuesday’s game between the Raptors and Suns is that Markieff Morris is still a tremendously talented player when he is motivated. The long forward isn’t a great three-point shooter, with a career average of 32.4 percent and an abysmal 28.4 percent this season.
But he is a very capable of spreading out the defense with his mid-range jumper, has shown a willingness to move the ball and averages 7.7 rebounds per 36 minutes for his career. Not a bad average for a player that primarily plays away from the basket.
Morris also would present Toronto with a low-post threat, especially in situations where Jonas Valanciunas is off of the court. At 6-10 he could also play as a small ball center with DeMarre Carroll playing at power forward once he returns.
