Top Four SGs

  1. Klay Thompson (Warriors) – $7,500 @ Wizards (30th)
  2. Jimmy Butler (Bulls) – $8,800 @ Kings (29th)
  3. Dwyane Wade (Heat) – $7,300 @ Mavericks (25th)
  4. J.R. Smith (Cavaliers) – $5,400 @ Hornets (28th)

Rationale:

  • Thompson is red-hot, scoring 46.5 FPPG in his last three contests. In that span he’s shooting 16-for-28 (.571) from three-point range. The Wizards are last in opponents’ three-point percentage (.386) and second-to-last in opponents’ field goal percentage (.470)
  • Butler averages 6.8 FPPG better on the road than at home because he shoots higher percentages. Wednesday should be no exception against the Kings, who allow the most points per game and are 20th in opponents’ field goal percentage (.455).
  • Wade only played 18 minutes against the Mavs when he scored 24 fantasy points. He looks healthy now and has torched opponents for 41.3 FPPG in his last six games. A healthy Dwyane Wade is great news for the Heat and their playoff chances.
  • Smith only scored 18.3 fantasy points against the Hornets in their first meeting, but he should be a big factor on Wednesday. He can shoot himself to a great performance or shoot his team out of the game, but he needs to shoot against one of the worst teams versus shooting guards, according to Swish Analytics.
