There are 11 games on the NBA slate for Wednesday night. With 22 teams in action, there are prime opportunities to find gems and also avoid the duds of the night.

DraftKings users should always be wary of teams that are on a back-to-back, especially those that must travel. The Minnesota Timberwolves are fortunate in that they don’t have to travel, other than from their hotel back to Staples Center. They played the Los Angeles Lakers Lakers on Tuesday and take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

Seven games on the docket feature an over/under of 200-plus points on Wednesday. Seven of the games also feature intra-conference battles. Wednesday’s action will have each of the top three teams in scoring in action.

The first game to highlight is an Eastern Conference battle between the Detroit Pistons (26-23) and the Boston Celtics (28-22). The over/under is set at 208.5 points and the Celtics are favored by four points, despite playing on a back-to-back. The Pistons should be refreshed after playing in Brooklyn on Monday and having Tuesday off.

It should be a fast-paced tempo, though it may not lead to a high-scoring contest. The last two time the teams have met, neither team scored more than 100 points.

More from Hoops Habit

The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors (44-4) head to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Wizards (21-25). This game features the highest over/under of the night with the bar set at 225.5 points. The Warriors are double-digit favorites on the road and are fully healthy, which is scary for the entire league.

Anticipate great guard play with the Stephen CurryJohn Wall matchup, and with the Wizards rolling out smaller lineups in their most recent games.

The Orlando Magic (21-26) will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder (37-13) in one of the best NBA atmospheres. The game holds the second-highest over/under for Wednesday, at 211.5 points. The Thunder are difficult to beat at home, where they are 23-5. The Magic have the weapons to do it, but haven’t been able to put all of their talents together on a consistent basis this season.

There are some great plays on the wing and at the center position for Wednesday. It may be best to find the bargains or lower-priced starters at point guard and power forward.

Let’s get to Wednesday’s top picks.
