Best Bargains

Cory Joseph ($3,900) may be the surest bargain at the guard positions on Tuesday. Previously against the Suns he scored 22.3 fantasy points while shooting 36.4 percent from the field. He should improve on his shooting, since the Suns are last in opponents’ field goal percentage (.473). He’s also playing well over his last five games, scoring 22.2 FPPG.

He’s due for a solid night, and could get some good playing time if the Raptors take care of work early.

Justise Winslow ($4,400) takes home the prize as the most reliable bargain at the forwards slot. He scored 21.3 fantasy points against the Rockets in their first meeting. He’s been playing well over his past six games, scoring 24.0 FPPG. In that span of six games, he has played 32 or more minutes which provides him an opportunity to maximize his fantasy value.

Players To Sit

Archie Goodwin ($5,600) is one of the few guards that I’d discourage drafting on Tuesday. He’s shooting 7-for-36 (.194) in his last three games and has only had eight free-throw attempts in those three games. When his scoring production is down, his fantasy value plummets. Playing against a backcourt of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan isn’t going to help his case either.

Clint Capela ($5,500) is the forward to factor out of a DraftKings lineup on Tuesday. Not only is he playing the best team against power forwards, but he has not played well lately. Capela is only scoring an underwhelming 15.7 FPPG in his last five games. That is nowhere near producing value at his price range. He only scored 17.8 fantasy points in his first game against the Heat.

There aren’t many injuries to keep an eye on, but here are a few. If Kevin Garnett returns for the Timberwolves tonight, Gorgui Dieng will likely factor out of the starting lineup and decrease his value. Likewise, if Nikola Pekovic (doubtful) returns it could also set Dieng to the third or fourth big man. Lastly, if Jae Crowder plays on Tuesday, he will be one of the top small forwards in action.
