Rationale:

  • Towns has dominated the Lakers, scoring 41.0 FPPG in two meetings this season. He’s averaging 20 points and 13 rebounds per game against the Lakers, while shooting 58.6 percent from the field. In his last four contests, he’s scoring 50.6 FPPG.
  • Monroe scored 36 fantasy points in a previous meeting against Portland. He’s played consistently well as one of the go-to scoring options for the Bucks. Over his last 10 games, his best game tallied 48.5 fantasy points and his worst was 30.25.
  • Dieng has been getting starts at power forward for the injured Kevin Garnett. In his last three games he’s scoring 38.7 FPPG. Despite only scoring 16.4 FPPG in two meetings with the Lakers, Dieng should have another strong game with a start at power forward.
  • Howard is the wild card. He should play well without Hassan Whiteside in the Heat lineup while battling a strained left hip, according to the Sun Sentinel. But Howard is only scoring 26.6 FPPG in his three games since coming back from an ankle injury. The previous options are more reliable than Howard on Tuesday.
