Known as one of the greatest point guards of all-time and one of the best passers ever, Jason Kidd was a perfect player for Nowitzki to have around. Though he played on the Mavs at the beginning of his career, Kidd had already moved to the Suns once Nowitzki was drafted.

The two were united in 2007-08 when the Mavs made a trade with the Nets to bring him back. That was the beginning of a great five-year stretch where two future HOF players had the opportunity to play together.

The pinnacle of the partnership was obviously in 2011, when Kidd started at point guard and led the Mavs to their first championship, and the first of his career. He was a great leader throughout the entire run and revived his three-point shot to give his game another edge.

One of their most iconic shots came during the championship celebration in 2011. Kidd and Nowitzki were leaned in talking to each other, each with trophies in their hands, enjoying the moment of winning their first title together. That was one moment that Mavs fans will never forget.
