Portland Trail Blazers receive: Chris Andersen, Jarnell Stokes, 2nd round pick
Miami Heat receive: Gerald Henderson

The Heat’s window of championship contention is nearly (if not already) closed so they’ll need every piece they can get. Dwayne Wade and Luol Deng are both at stages in their careers where monitoring their minutes and keeping them springy for as long as possible is crucial to the Heat’s postseason hopes.

Henderson could also provide insurance wing depth in case the Heat aren’t confident that Gerald Green, Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson are going to be able to handle major minutes in the postseason (which really isn’t that impossible to imagine). I’m also still a pretty big fan of Jarnell Stokes but another second-round pick could also suffice.
