Whether or not you believe he’s the best player in the world, Stephen Curry is about as close to unseating LeBron James as one could possibly be. He’s been the most dominant player in 2015-16, and the level of competition hasn’t changed that.

Curry’s domination of Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs was evidence enough.

He did that against the No. 1 defense in the NBA.

Curry opened the week by posting 39 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds on 11-of-19 shooting against Paul George and the Indiana Pacers. He followed that stellar performance by scoring 37 points in 28 minutes during a 120-90 decimation of the San Antonio Spurs.

Curry capped off another brilliant week by tallying STATS GO HERE against the Dallas Mavericks.

Curry is so far ahead of the competition that it’d take a gargantuan effort to usurp him as the MVP favorite. There are holes to poke in his game, but his level of play and the Golden State Warriors’ XX-X record speak collaborative volumes.

More hoops habit: What must the Cleveland Cavaliers do differently in order to catch up to the Golden State Warriors?

Curry is No. 1 and there’s no rational way around it. How many times can I possibly write that?
