When evaluating players on a, “Well-rounded,” basis, Russell Westbrook rates amongst the very best. At any given moment, the triple-double machine can erupt and rack up 30 points, 10 rebounds, and/or 10 assists.

Westbrook reached every one of those marks at some point over the past week.

Curry had a pedestrian—by only his standards—16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block in a 109-106 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. He then tallied 27 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists against the Brooklyn Nets, and had 30 points, 10 assists, eight boards, and three steals in a win over the New York Knicks.

Westbrook closed the week out with a smooth 24 points, 15 assists, and eight rebounds on 8-of-13 shooting from the field.

Westbrook isn’t as close to the No. 1 spot as being No. 2 would suggest, but he has a legitimate case for being an MVP candidate. He’s a statistically prolific player who’s playing a vital role on a championship contender in 2015-16.

Westbrook has completed his evolution into a genuine NBA superstar.
