Kyle Lowry will make his second career All-Star Game appearance in 2015-16 after a late surge in the fan vote. It was a rewarding moment for a player who has more than earned his opportunity to represent the Toronto Raptors amongst the league’s elite.

Thus far in 2015-16, Lowry’s flirted with that very word: elite.

Lowry has been the stabilizing force for a Raptors squad that’s closing in on the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. He’s scoring and shooting with career-best proficiency, ranking No. 14 in the NBA in points per game and No. 5 in 3-point field goals made.

Lowry is also facilitating, rebounding, defending, and coming up with steals with vital consistency.

Despite standing at 6’0″, Lowry’s play is as big as anyone on the court in every outing. He duels with superstars, locks players down at his position, and still finds a way to make the offense flow for his teammates.

That’s exactly why Lowry ranks in the Top 10 in both Win Shares and Win Shares per 48 minutes.
