The New Orleans Pelicans

Jeff Teague is really good. But more importantly (to the New Orleans Pelicans), he’s healthy. The same cannot be said for most of New Orleans’ roster, which continues to prevent the Pelicans from doing much of anything good on the court.

Adding Jeff Teague means New Orleans no longer has to rely on the always-injured Jrue Holiday, and gives New Orleans some much-needed stability. They’ll need to make a move they haven’t wanted to in order to get Teague, though.

The Hawks get something in return that they really like–outside shooting. Ryan Anderson has been highly coveted by multiple teams this season, but the Pelicans have been hesitant to deal him despite his contract expiring at the end of the year.

But getting Jeff Teague in return might be enough to change their mind about keeping Anderson. Some sort of draft picks on one side or the other might have to be involved, but this feels like the groundwork for a potential trade for both of these teams.
