NBA Trade Rumors: 6 Potential Landing Spots For Jeff Teague

New York is in a great place right now. They happen to have both a legitimately great player in Carmelo Anthony, and a franchise cornerstone in Kristaps Porzingis. But what they don’t have is a point guard.
Enter Jeff Teague. Adding him could push the Knicks into the playoffs a little early, which works for New York because they don’t have their first-round pick this season no matter what happens. So the Knicks want to win, and soon.
The Hawks like this trade for two reasons. Atlanta isn’t low on wing depth at the moment, but could be if Kent Bazemore decides to cash in on his terrific season and get paid in unrestricted free agency. If that happens, the Hawks would have Afflalo next season as insurance. Plus they get a pick in four years.
The Knicks would probably give up more than this for Teague. New York is beginning to emerge as a likely destination, mostly because Phil Jackson wants to start winning games. With Jeff Teague in town, the wins will come far more often for the Knicks.
