Kobe Bryant: 50 Greatest Moments of Black Mamba’s Career
18. 11-Time All-NBA First Team
All-Star Game appearances have become a tricky part of Kobe Bryant’s resume due to the influence of the fan vote. What’s entirely accurate are the selections Bryant has received to the All-NBA teams.
In 2013, Bryant earned his 11th career All-NBA First Team nod.
Bryant’s 11th selection pushed him into a tie for the most in NBA history. The only other player who has made 11 All-NBA First Team appearances is Karl Malone, who achieved the feat in 1999.
It’s worth noting that LeBron James is at nine and counting at 31 years old, but for the time being, Bryant shares the No. 1 spot.
Overall, Bryant has 15 All-NBA appearances on his resume—tied with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan for the most all-time. Duncan reached that mark in 2014-15, while Bryant’s most recent appearance was the previously alluded to 2013 bid.
A legend of the game, it’s only fitting that Bryant is No. 1 all-time in both total All-NBA nods and All-NBA First Team appearances.
