23. Winning the Division

There are many great feats that Kobe Bryant is known for. From his five NBA championship rings to his MVP award to his 18 All-Star Game appearances, there’s no shortage of accolades on The Black Mamba’s resume.

As displayed in the supplied clip, Bryant’s greatest claim to fame is being overwhelmingly clutch.

That’s been established multiple times throughout this slideshow, but very few moments compare to this gem. It was a resounding example of how Bryant’s clutch gene was wired a little different from the rest of the NBA.

Not only was he known to hit game-tying and game-winning shots, but he’s known to hit both in the same game.

For one of the craziest shots you’ll ever see, Bryant planted his feet, wrapped his body around Ruben Patterson, and launched a Hail Mary of a 3-point field goal to tie the game at 87-87 with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation. In overtime, he took a pass with one second on the clock and buried the game-winner.

Bryant is as clutch as they come.
